From Natural Disaster To Assessment & Recovery With a Big Thank You to Those Who Helped Out.

Matthew caused signficiant damage to HSF headquarters in Haiti, destroying its roof, solar panel, computers, sports equipment and personal belongs, among many other valuables. It also left HSF's head monitor without a home and the children have no place to gather.

However, we are happy to report that HSF's recovery efforts are well underway, with the help of your donations. The focus is on both on rebuidling and sending food, which is scheduled for shipment the second week of November 2016.

Thanks to your donations, the roof pictured below has been repaired. The solar panel is back in operation and the cleaning is complete. We are now working to replace the lost computers and restart the sports program.

We worked with the Mayor office to deliver water, food items including rice, cooking oil and help some of the families to replace their damaged roofs.  Additional food shipment will be made in the next few months from our current food drive.

The Haitian Sports Fondation (HSF) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to uplift the children of Haiti through the use of sports activities. Founded in July 2006, it is headquartered in the United States and in Haiti, and provides a range of services, instruction, and training for Haitian youth. Primarily, HSF engages youth through sports activites including soccer, martial arts, basketball, track and field, and volleyball.

Since its founding, HSF has been working with local social organizations to provide assistance to children between the ages of 6 through 17 years old. HSF believes that each child has the potential to succeed if the opportunity is provided to him or her.
