On Saturday, December 6, 2025, the students of Art Borin Jr. Professional School gathered in unity and grief as they attended the funeral of their colleague and friend, Daphkar Jacotin, whose final resting place is in Anse-a-Veau, Haiti.

Daphkar was more than a student—she was a bright, determined young woman who pursued her studies in Computer Technology with dedication and a spirit full of promise. Her loss leaves a profound void within our school community.

In recognition of her hard work and commitment, her mother will receive Daphkar’s posthumous certificate as a Certified Computer Technician during our graduation ceremony on December 27, 2025. It is our hope that this gesture honors Daphkar’s efforts and offers her family a meaningful symbol of the future she was building.

As we mourn, we also remember the strength and solidarity shown by her classmates, who walked together, carried flowers and her portrait, and supported one another through this heartbreaking moment. Their unity is a reflection of the family we have built at Art Borin Jr.

May Daphkar’s soul rest in peace.
She will forever remain in our hearts.
