A Summer of Sports, Dance, Learning, and Opportunity

The Haitian Sports Foundation’s 2026 Summer Youth Program is giving young people a welcoming place to stay active, express themselves, learn new skills, and enjoy meaningful time together.

Basketball remains one of the program’s most popular activities. From younger children learning how to handle the ball to older participants practicing and playing as a team, the court has been filled with energy, determination, and plenty of smiles. Every game encourages discipline, cooperation, and confidence.

Soccer has brought that same excitement to the field. Girls and boys play side by side, reminding us that talent, courage, and a love of the game know no boundaries. One young girl confidently joined the boys on the field, showing that every child deserves the opportunity to participate, compete, and feel included.

Dance is also an important part of the summer experience. Deeply woven into Haitian culture, dance gives our young people a joyful way to celebrate their heritage while developing confidence, creativity, coordination, and self-expression. As they move together, they build friendships, share laughter, and experience the freedom of expressing themselves through rhythm.
