Emergency Readiness Training in Anse-à-Veau
Anse-à-Veau has endured numerous natural disasters throughout its history—earthquakes, hurricanes, and other major disruptions—that have caused significant damage and loss of life. Too often, the community is left unprepared to cope with these events.
To help address this gap, we conducted an emergency readiness class aimed at equipping local youth with the knowledge and skills to respond effectively in times of crisis. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated monitors—Stanley Calixte, Dieuseul Arice, Jeff Pailliant, and Lizaire James—whose passion and commitment made this training possible.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to Mrs. Carmelle Fouché and Mr. Kenel Régis for sharing an insightful historical narrative of the town’s experiences since 1782. Their perspective added invaluable context to our efforts.
HSF is committed to continuing this initiative with future sessions to further raise awareness and preparedness among the youth of Anse-à-Veau.
A heartfelt thank you as well to our local HSF team for their professionalism and dedication.
