It is with great sadness to announce that one of our own, Neslo Charles (age 17) passed away on December 27, 2022, due to a sudden resurgence of cholera in Haiti; particularly in the Nippes region where we operate.
He had just received his Karate yellow belt two weeks ago. He was very active at our complex and served as a role model for many of the children. Our sincere condolences to his mother, Ms. Jacline Viliere; his guardian uncle, Mr. Manesse Cam; and his five sisters, all members of his family and his dear friends from HSF.
We are very sad to hear the news of Neslo’s passing and have been working with HSF’s doctor to broadcast preventive measures every hour through HSF’s radio – LaNESS FM- to keep the kids safe.
We plan to distribute hygiene kits, which will contain oral serum, Clorox, soap, Aqua tabs, and hygiene wipes to nearly 100 families to help them stay safe. The kits should last up to one month.
