Luz Gonzalez

Luz Gonzalez, HSF General Secretary 

Luz Gonzalez joined the Haitian Sports Foundation  in July 2010.  Her dedication to impacting the lives of others was her drive to joining the Foundation.  Her very first trip to Haiti was on October 27, 2010, ten months after the devastating January 10 earthquake.  She saw first-hand, the overwhelming need to empowering the lives of the children.  As a result, an annual children’s camp was created.  Since it’s inception, the lives of hundreds of children in Anse-a-Veau, South of Haiti, have been transformed.

Luz is an active Board member of HSF.  She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently the executive assistant to the CEO of a major non-profit organization.  Luz is fluent in English and Spanish.  She enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and volunteering.  Luz is the mother of two adult children and lives in New York City.
